Depression

Each year, approximately 8% of New Yorkers will experience symptoms of depression. This is significantly higher than the national average. Why? Social and environmental factors place urban dwellers at higher risk. Depression affects all facets of life, including how you think, feel, and act. Although sadness is a universal human emotion, depression is significantly more debilitating.
