Clinical Director, LCSW
Jackie has worked extensively as a psychotherapist in New York City for the past 20 years. Her work addresses how thoughts, feelings, and behavior influence relationships. She specializes in the treatment of trauma; the loss of a relationship or job; health related issues; abuse; and natural/man made disasters. Trauma can express itself in surprising ways, such as anxiety and depression, isolation, the use of substances, or the inability to achieve the success or satisfaction that one desires. She is well trained and experienced in a variety of techniques including talk therapy, CBT, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness techniques, crisis intervention, and addictions. Central to Jackie’s approach is her belief in starting where the client is at and working together to create a treatment that meets the needs and time frame of her clients. Jackie strives to help individuals explore how the past affects the present and that different choices can be made for the future.
